Where to start

What do you want to know?

Most people don't arrive wanting to read their policy. They arrive with a question.

How it works

Three steps. About two minutes.

  1. 1

    Show us what you have

Upload a policy — the declarations page, the full document, or both. No account needed to start.

Auto · Home · Renters · Umbrella · Many commercial forms

  2. 2

    See where you stand

BNIE reads every page and lays out your coverage, costs, gaps, unusual terms, and the things most worth a second look.

    Usually under a minute

  3. 3

    Make a better move

Ask follow-up questions, check any answer against the source page, and take a specific list of questions to your agent.

Every answer cited · Nothing to take on faith

What you get back

Not a summary of the document. A read on where you stand.

Anyone can tell you your deductible is $1,000. The useful part is knowing whether that's a problem for you.

What looks solid

The parts of your policy that appear to be doing their job, so you know where not to spend your attention.

What's worth reviewing

Terms that stand out — a deductible that may be higher than you'd want to cover on short notice, coverage that may duplicate a benefit you already have.

Possible coverage gaps

Protections commonly carried on a policy like yours that we couldn't find on your document — flagged as something to confirm, not as a verdict.

Cost worth discussing

Places where premium and protection may be out of balance. We won't quote you a number we can't stand behind.

Questions for your agent

Drawn from your actual policy, phrased so they're hard to deflect, and one tap from your clipboard.

A citation for everything

Every figure and every answer points back to the page it came from, so you can check us against the document itself.

See it in action

Plain answers, and a reason to trust them.

Ask the way you'd ask a person. Every answer points back to the page it came from — and when your policy doesn't say, BNIE says that instead of guessing.

Worth a lookp.1

Your highest deductible is $2,500

A higher deductible lowers your premium but is the amount you'd pay yourself before coverage starts. It's worth being sure you could cover it comfortably on short notice.

Question for your agent

Could I lower my $2,500 deductible, and what would that do to my premium?

What's my collision deductible?

Your collision deductible is $1,000 per claim — what you pay before coverage kicks in, regardless of fault.

Your comprehensive deductible is lower, at $500.

Where this goes

Understanding your policy is the first rung, not the point.

Reading documents is the infrastructure. Being the sophisticated party on your side of the table is the product.

  1. Understand

    Know what you actually have

Your coverages, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and endorsements, in plain English — each one traceable to the page it came from.

  2. Evaluate

    See what deserves your attention

Not a data dump. BNIE separates what looks reasonable from what looks thin, unusual, or worth a conversation before you renew.

  3. Compare

    Planned

Judge an offer on more than price

A cheaper quote can quietly cost you a lower limit, a higher deductible, or a coverage you'd miss at claim time. Comparing coverage against price is what we're building next.

  4. Act

Walk in knowing what to ask

Specific, answerable questions for your agent or carrier, drawn from your own policy rather than a generic checklist.

  5. Protect

    Planned

    Stay right as things change

Renewals, new vehicles, a move, a growing household. Keeping your coverage matched to your life is where this is heading.

  6. Fight

    Planned

Push back when a decision looks wrong

Reading a denial against your own policy language, finding the clauses that apply, and organizing what you need to respond. Planned, and not yet available.

Why you can trust this

We only make sense if we're on your side.

No stake in your answer

BNIE doesn't sell policies, isn't an agency or a carrier, and takes no commissions or referral fees. If the honest answer is that your current policy is good and you should keep it, that's the answer you get.

Encrypted and private

Military-grade 256-bit encryption in transit and at rest, stored where no one can browse it.

Never training data

Your policy is read to answer your questions. It is not used to train any model.

Cited, so you can check

Every figure points back to a page in your document. The policy is always the authority.

Deletable in one tap

Removing a document removes everything derived from it.

Questions

Reasonable things to wonder about

What is BNIE for?
Working out whether your insurance is actually good for you. You upload a policy you already hold; BNIE reads it, lays out your coverage, limits, deductibles, and exclusions in plain English, and points out the gaps, unusual terms, and costs worth questioning. Reading the document is how it works — knowing where you stand is the point.
Is this a quote comparison site?
No, and we don't intend to become one. Comparison sites are built to find you a cheaper premium. A cheaper premium can quietly come with a higher deductible, lower liability limits, or a coverage dropped that you'd want at claim time. The question worth answering is whether a policy is better for you, not whether it's cheaper — and answering that requires reading the coverage, which is what BNIE does. Comparing a quote against your current policy isn't available yet; it's what we're building toward.
Which kinds of insurance does it handle?
Personal lines work best today: auto, home, renters, and umbrella policies. It also reads many commercial documents. Because policies vary so much by carrier, state, and form, BNIE normalizes whatever it finds and tells you honestly when something wasn't in your document.
Will this actually save me money?
We won't promise a number, and you should be wary of anyone who does before reading your policy. What BNIE reliably does is show you what you're paying for, flag where premium and protection look out of balance, and give you the specific questions to bring to your agent or carrier. Sometimes the honest answer is that your coverage is fine and switching would cost you protection.
Whose side are you on?
Yours. BNIE doesn't sell insurance, isn't an agency or a carrier, takes no commissions, and has no financial relationship with any insurer. Nothing we show you is influenced by which policy you hold or whether you switch. Our only interest is being useful enough that you keep using us.
